Additional Church Announcements
Here are a few ways YOU can help!
Joana has a few kids who need Christmas gifts. If interested
in providing a gift, please see Joana. Please contact her today
or next Sunday so she will know this project is completed.
Want to extend some Christmas cheer to those who have helped keep us free?
We'd like to provide gifts to some of the
permanent residents who live at the VA Hospital in Indy. Following
is a list of items you might consider providing:
Puzzles, activity books, men's socks (sizes 9-13), men's clothing (sizes L & XL), paperback books (westerns, adventure stories and mysteries), picture frames, stationary and envelopes, etc. No food items, please. John and Crystal Baker will deliver the gifts from Smithville Christian Church within the next two weeks.
Christmas Project
Christy Boles is looking for gently used toys to give to Hanna House, which is part of the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Bloomington. If you have some used or new toys you want to donate to Hanna House, please bring them to church by December 14th.
Youth Announcements

Mark Your Calendar - Special Easter Services
Friday, March 21st at 6:30 pm -- Good Friday Communion Service. This will be a meaningful time as we meet around the Lord's Table on the day in history when Jesus dies on the cross for our sins.
Sunday, March 23rd at 6:00 am -- Easter Sunrise Service followed
by our traditional breakfast served by your Church Board.
Sunday, March 23rd at 10:00 am -- Our regular Morning Worship
Service. We are changing the schedule for that one day. We
will not be having Sunday School on Easter and there will be no Evening
Bible Study. Thirty Pieces of Silver Offering will be received
at both services.
A BIG "thank you"
A big "Thank You" to all those who caught the fish, prepared it, made side dishes and desserts for last Sunday's Fish Fry which was a huge success!! It was nice sharing fellowship with all the guests who attended. A good time was had by all!
Due to the government situation in Burma, Joana has postponed
her trip. The situation on the ground has made the possibility of
doing the humanitarian and teaching work that was at the heart of
her trip impossible to do at this time. In the meantime, Joana will
continue the work of children's Bible lesson development and the
production of a DVD on the Life of Christ for Children. She will
also complete her course work to be certified to teach English as a
foreign language. She won't be idle! We received an email from her
which is posted on the main bulletin board for you to read.
Calling ALL Choraliers!!
Our music is in and we are excited to get started with our practices! Practice is Sunday immediately after service.
